Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History “Wish Upon A Butterfly” Butterfly Release
July 25, 2015 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Come join Dr. Juliana Rangel’s lab and the Department of Entomology at the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History’s Fourth Annual “Wish Upon a Butterfly” event on Saturday, July 25!!
This annual fundraiser will take place from 9am-12pm, paying homage and well-wishes to celebration, childhood wonder, the memory and presence of loved ones, fallen or deployed service members, new beginnings and more. Following the light reception at check-in, guests will complete their written wishes—as a personal keepsake, for public display or both–and prepare to receive their purchased butterflies for the 10am-release.
During this time, guests will enjoy live music by Joey McGee and free admission to the Museum’s exhibits including the observation bee hive and butterfly displays. Following the release, a variety of brunch-style refreshments will be served for the remainder of the event.
The Rangel Lab will have an educational booth set up, as well as other organizations throughout the Brazos Valley.
